Hokkaido Jingu Shrine

Hokkaido Jingu Shrine

The main Shinto shrine of Hokkaido. Founded in 1869. The approximately 180,000 square meter grounds are famous for its cherry blossoms.

In June, the Hokkaido Jingu Festival (Sapporo Festival) is held, where portable shrines and floats parade through the city to the accompaniment of musical accompaniment.
