Drift Ice Sightseeing Icebreaker Ship Aurora

The drift ice field stretches out before your eyes

The drift ice breaker is a popular activity for drift ice sightseeing, as it takes you through the middle of the drift ice sea, where thick drift ice is breaking up rapidly.

The drift ice field spreads out before your eyes, and the entire ship vibrates as the bottom of the ship hits the ice blocks, making for a very powerful experience.

You may also see seals taking a leisurely nap on the ice floes and Steller’s sea eagles soaring peacefully.

Ice Floes Coming from the North

Fresh water from the Amur River, which flows along the border between China and Russia, into the Sea of Okhotsk is frozen over.

Riding the monsoon and ocean currents, it grows larger as it moves southward,
Around the end of January, the mysterious white form of the ice floes appears along the coast of Okhotsk.
